The Cutover Period 

What You Need to Know

The Upgrade is a massive undertaking. We are upgrading several complex systems in sequence, as well as improving system efficiency, adding a portal, consolidating reporting, and updating processes. 

This is why The Upgrade will take longer than previous ones.

Just before the new systems “go live”, there will be a one to two-week period during which some systems won’t be available – some will have view-only information that is not live. Read more...

Questions from the University community about The Upgrade.

Asked: If I have more than one “role” at the University (for example, both staff and student), what will display for me on MyU? How can I change the view between those roles?
Answered: Each person will have just one consolidated view in MyU, so there’s no need to change views. MyU will know if you’re a combination of staff and student (or faculty and student, or manager and faculty, etc.) and will display what you need to help you be successful getting your business done at the U.

Asked: A lot of what will be available in the new MyU for students is currently available through each campus’ One Stop website. Are the One Stop websites going away?
Answered: No. Each campus will still have a One Stop website to provide information and documentation for student processes--particularly for people who need information, but don’t have access to MyU, such as parents. The difference will be that the links to self-service applications (e.g., registration, bill payment) will point to MyU.

Presentations & Events

Recording of Student Preview Sessions Now Available

A recording of the Student Systems Preview Sessions held on all campuses in October is now available. These sessions were held to share training information, give demonstrations of the new MyU, the new Faculty Center, the new Advisor Center, and explain key processes (e.g., permission numbers, batch processing of service indicators and student groups, academic standing). Student Experience Previews

Interested in learning how the Upgrade will affect students? Attend one of the several Student Experience Previews held on each campus. The sessions will include demonstrations of class registration, bill payment, and viewing financial aid. Also covered will be how MyU and the One Stop website will work together after the upgraded systems launch in February. Read more.
